Mangalagiri- The Health Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Vidadala Rajini, has urged the German Consul General in Chennai, Michaela Küchler, to facilitate opportunities for state students to pursue nursing courses in Germany. The request came during Ms. Küchler’s visit to the Health Department’s headquarters in Mangalagiri, where discussions were held on potential collaborations in student exchange programs and medical research.

Expressing Germany’s willingness to collaborate with the Andhra Pradesh government, Ms. Küchler encouraged the Health Department to present proposals for cooperation. The aim is to foster mutual benefits and advance the fields of medicine and healthcare.

Minister Rajini highlighted the AP MedTech Zone in Visakhapatnam, emphasizing the potential for German investments in the manufacturing of medical equipment. She expressed the government’s keen interest in strengthening the zone and creating opportunities for bilateral partnerships.

Additionally, Minister Rajini acknowledged the preference of nursing graduates and aspirants from Andhra Pradesh to pursue courses in Germany. In line with this, the government plans to introduce German language training for these individuals. She requested the consul general’s support in facilitating language learning opportunities and streamlining the visa process for aspiring students, eliminating the need for intermediaries or agents.

The collaboration between Andhra Pradesh’s Health Department and the German Consul General holds promising prospects for enhancing educational opportunities and fostering international partnerships in the field of healthcare.
