Visakhapatnam is set to witness a roadshow led by Chandrababu Naidu, the National President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and former Chief Minister. The roadshow is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 17, 2023. As per the TDP’s press release, Naidu will arrive at the airport at 3:45 pm and proceed to Pendurthi via NAD. At the Pendurthi Mahila Pragathi Kendram, the TDP chief will listen to representations from farmers regarding land issues.

Later in the evening, Chandrababu Naidu will lead a roadshow in Pendurthi and address a public meeting. He will spend the night in Saripalli and, on the morning of May 18, interact with farmers and fishermen. Subsequently, Naidu will continue to the S Kota constituency.

Expressing solidarity with Nara Lokesh’s yatra, Telugu Desam leaders and workers organized rallies in various parts of Visakhapatnam to commemorate the completion of 100 days of the party’s National General Secretary’s walkathon. Led by party leader Gandi Babji, TDP workers in the Visakhapatnam South constituency initiated a padayatra (foot march) at the Gandhi statue near the GVMC office. The route passed through women’s college, Ambedkar Junction, Dabagardens, Saraswati Park, Old Bus Stand, Reading Room, Kurupam Market, Jalaripeta, and concluded at the NTR statue on the beach road, where party leaders paid floral tributes to TDP founder NT Rama Rao.
