Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy Expected to Shift to Visakhapatnam Before September, Says Adviser Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy
According to Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, Adviser (Public Affairs) of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is likely to relocate from Amaravati to Visakhapatnam and start functioning from the Port City well before September.
During an informal meeting with the media on May 30, Reddy mentioned that the construction of buildings for various departments in Visakhapatnam is underway. This suggests that the administrative process of shifting from Amaravati to Visakhapatnam may begin earlier than anticipated, although there are some legal matters that need to be resolved before the official move to the Executive capital.
As the YSRCP government led by Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy completes four years in office, the decision to establish three capitals remains in place. The potential shift to Visakhapatnam signifies a significant development in the state’s political landscape.
