A final year B.A. student from Dr. Lankapalli Bullayya College, B. Sampath, has started a solo bicycle ride from Visakhapatnam to the borders of Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal. His goal is to raise awareness among young people about the importance of saying no to drugs. On Monday, the ride was officially flagged off by the college secretary and correspondent, G. Madhu Kumar. Mr. Kumar praised Mr. Sampath’s efforts and mentioned previous awareness rides that he had undertaken. Principals and heads of various departments were in attendance. The 2,000 km journey began on May 8th and is set to end on June 5th.
