Visakha GITAM University recently marked a momentous occasion as it celebrated its 14th graduation ceremony. The event, held at the GITAM Medical College campus, was graced by the presence of Dr. S. Chandra Shekhar, Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology under the Government of India, who served as the chief guest.

A total of 2,769 students, who successfully completed their academic year, were honored with degrees during the ceremony. Among them, 84 students were awarded prestigious Ph.D. degrees, recognizing their exceptional research and academic contributions. Additionally, 75 students were presented with coveted gold medals in recognition of their outstanding academic performance.

The graduation ceremony also witnessed the conferring of honorary doctorates upon two distinguished individuals. Noted actress Vanishree, known for her remarkable performances, and Dr. Kota Narayan, acclaimed for his significant contributions, received these prestigious accolades, highlighting their exceptional achievements in their respective fields.
