In a recent announcement, Joint Collector K.S. Viswanathan recommended that the government has made the GEO (General Extension Order) available by reducing the regularization fee for ULC (Urban Land Ceiling) lands. He encouraged the beneficiaries to make the most of this opportunity. On Tuesday, RDO Hussain Saheb, accompanied by Gopalapatnam Tehsildar Korra Jaya, conducted a review meeting regarding the Urban Land Ceiling (ULC) Surplus Lands 22A-1D at GVMC (Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation) Ward 53 Parish Mosque Street Secretariat.

According to the newly issued JIV (Joint Inspection Verification) by the government, qualified individuals from both low-income and high-income (BPL, APL) groups will be granted D-Patta for plots ranging from 0 to 150 square yards. For plots measuring between 150 to 300 square yards, individuals from both high and low-income groups will be required to pay a fee equivalent to 15 percent of the gross value. In the case of structures on plots between 300 to 500 yards, a fee of 30 percent of the gross value will be applicable for registration. Plots exceeding 500 yards will necessitate a fee of 100 percent of the gross value for registration. The beneficiaries are advised to submit their applications at the nearest offices. This opportunity will remain open until December 31 of this year. Corporator Barkat Ali also participated in the proceedings.
