The Sri Jagannathaswamy Ratha Yatra is set to commence with grandeur on Tuesday along Patanagaram Main Road. The temple, with a rich history of 192 years, holds special significance as it houses the idol of Sri Ranganathaswamy Panchaloha. The festival, known for its ten days of elaborate celebrations, will see thousands of devotees participating in the procession. The temple authorities have made all necessary arrangements for the devotees, including different darshan options and the performance of Ashtotara Puja.
The Sheelavirupu Utsavam, a highlight of the event, will be organized with a unique theme, showcasing the story of Goddess Lakshmi’s intervention. Swami will appear to the devotees in different avatars every day, with the Dasavataras concluding on the 30th. The chariot, which has a history of more than 50 years, has been carefully maintained and will be housed at Turner Choultry until its return journey. Excitement is building among devotees and spectators as they eagerly anticipate the upcoming Ratha Yatra and the divine experience it promises to offer.
