The Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department has announced the transfer of B. Suresh Kumar, Chief Town Planner of Greater Visakha Municipal Corporation, to the position of Additional Director in the Office of Director Town and Country Planning (DTCP) in Amaravati. In his place, V. Sunitha has been appointed as the new Chief Town Planner of GVMC. Furthermore, A. Prabhakar, who previously held the position of Chief Urban Planner (CUP) at VMRDA, has been transferred to the office of DTCP and assigned the role of Additional Director at APCRDA. Additionally, K. Sanjay Ratnakumar, Deputy Planner at GVMC, has been appointed as the Chief Urban Planner of VMRDA.
In other news, the government has also made new appointments for the UCD project of Greater Visakha Municipal Corporation. D. Lakshmi, the secretary of Bobbili Urban Development Authority (Buda), B. Ravanamma, the secretary of Srikakulam Urban Development Authority, and B. Sanyasinayudu, the co-operative officer of Parvathipuram, have been appointed as officers for the UCD project.
