IT giant Infosys has announced the commencement of its operations in Visakhapatnam, with the completion of a massive building at Rushikonda IT Park Hill No.2. The company is preparing to kickstart its operations on the 28th of this month. Initially planned as a satellite office, Infosys has transformed it into a full-fledged development center.

The first phase of services will begin with a capacity of 650 people, and the center is set to accommodate 1,000 employees in the near future. Infosys has already extended invitations to candidates working in enterprise applications, software development, and IT-enabled services to join its campus. This announcement was made by Infosys officials during a recent CII conference.

The establishment of Infosys in Visakhapatnam aligns with the state government’s vision of promoting the Beach IT concept. As a result, leading companies are increasingly recognizing the potential of the region for IT and related sectors.

The launch of Infosys in Visakhapatnam is expected to boost employment opportunities and contribute to the overall growth and development of the IT industry in the region.
