Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL) is undertaking projects worth ₹8,000 crore in Andhra Pradesh, according to B. Anil Kumar, the Executive Director (A.P. and Telangana) of IOCL. Among these projects is a significant initiative to supply Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Piped Natural Gas (PNG) to six undivided districts. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for this ₹4,300-crore project was signed at a global investors summit. Kumar expressed his appreciation for the State government’s support in expediting the projects.

Another notable project is the Paradip-Hyderabad Pipeline Project (PHPL), which involves an investment of ₹3,338 crore. This pipeline will connect the Paradip Refinery in Odisha to Hyderabad in Telangana via Andhra Pradesh, with a total length of 1,212 km, including 723 km within Andhra Pradesh. The completion target for the entire project, including the segment in Andhra Pradesh, is set for March 2024.

Additionally, IOCL is constructing a new terminal in Atchutapuram, Anakapalli district, at a cost of ₹466 crore, to be finished by December this year. A new LPG bottling plant in Chittoor with a budget of ₹167 crore is expected to be completed by February next year. Furthermore, IOCL has opened a new depot in Guntakal costing ₹350 crore. Renovation works are underway at IOCL terminals in Visakhapatnam (₹355 crore) and Vijayawada (₹316 crore).

IOCL is also focusing on the establishment of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. Currently, there are 219 outlets in Andhra Pradesh, and plans are in place to open an additional 210 outlets in the current financial year.
