LIC Agents Organisation of India (LICAOI) is gearing up for its upcoming conferences, as announced by national secretary Dilip, zonal president Manjunath, and secretary Narasimha Rao in a press briefing on Saturday. The fifth zonal conference of LICAOI is scheduled to take place on May 21, while the 6th All India conference will be held on May 22 and 23. These significant events will be hosted at the prestigious Alluri Vignana Kendram in Dabagardens.

The national convention will commence with a rally starting from the LIC Divisional Office at 11 a.m. on May 22. The rally is expected to culminate in a public meeting, where notable figures such as K. Hemalatha, the CITU All India president, secretary Umesh, and State general secretary Ch. Narasinga Rao, will participate.

In addition to the main events, two separate conferences have been organized. An evening women’s conference is set to take place, with an estimated attendance of around 150 delegates. Moreover, an afternoon delegates conference is scheduled, which is anticipated to witness the participation of thousands of delegates from all corners of the country.

The conferences will delve into various crucial topics concerning the nation’s economic situation, government policies, and investments in LIC. Additionally, the attendees will engage in discussions on safeguarding the public sector, along with banks and LIC, from privatization. It was emphasized by the organizers that the Agents Organisation has expressed its solidarity with the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) employees in their struggle against the strategic sale decision made by the central government.

The upcoming LICAOI conferences are poised to be significant platforms for dialogue, providing agents with an opportunity to voice their concerns and contribute to shaping the future of the organization. With delegates from across the country expected to attend, the conferences are likely to foster productive discussions on vital issues affecting LIC and its agents.
