Visakhapatnam, July 1, 2023 – Mayor Golagani Hari Venkata Kumari has announced a significant investment in infrastructure development for the city. In a recent event, Mayor Kumari, accompanied by East Constituency Coordinator Akram Vijayanirmala and Ward Corporator Akram, laid the foundation stone for an underground drainage pipeline project worth Rs 1.15 crores. The project aims to improve sanitation and wastewater management in Visakhapatnam.

During the inauguration ceremony held on Saturday, the officials traveled from Deen Dayal Puram to Pedagadili in Zone 12 Ward. Mayor Kumari expressed gratitude for the support of Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and highlighted the collaborative efforts being made to enhance the city’s infrastructure. The foundation stone was laid for a two-kilometer underground drainage pipeline, which will connect Deen Dayal Puram to Pedgadili in the 12th ward.

Mayor Kumari emphasized the city’s commitment to becoming a clean and well-maintained place for its residents. She assured that all necessary measures have been taken to ensure cleanliness in Visakhapatnam, with plans to prioritize the Arilowa area in the coming days. Mayor Kumari urged citizens to actively participate in the Visakhapatnam Clean Survey 2023 and provide feedback to help the city achieve the top rank in cleanliness.

With the significant investment in the underground drainage pipeline project and the dedication of Mayor Kumari and the YSR Government, Visakhapatnam is set to witness notable improvements in its infrastructure and overall cleanliness. The project’s completion will contribute to better sanitation and a healthier living environment for the city’s residents.
