Deputy Chief Minister Criticizes Banks’ Poor Performance in Granting Loans to Tenant Farmers

Deputy Chief Minister Budi Mutyala Naidu expressed his dissatisfaction with the inadequate performance of banks in granting loans to tenant farmers during a review meeting. He highlighted the low percentage of loans disbursed to priority sectors in the state and the failure to meet targets. Even private banks were not sufficiently focused on lending to farmers despite government instructions. Mr. Naidu, who also serves as the Panchayat Raj Minister, urged bankers to increase the loan amounts provided to SC and ST entrepreneurs for better financial support. Agriculture Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy also attended the meeting.

Two unregistered hospitals have already been identified, and the drive will continue to uncover any other illegal establishments. The district administration is also urged to cancel the registration of hospitals involved in illegal organ trade. The initiative aims to safeguard the well-being and safety of patients in the city.
