City Police Commissioner Dr. CM Trivikramavarma has issued a stern directive to his department to tackle the rising menace of rowdy sheeters in the city. In a special meeting held at the police conference hall, Dr. Trivikramavarma convened city officials, law and order personnel from various police stations, crime inspectors, special branch officers, and task force officials to discuss the issue at hand.
The meeting primarily focused on reviewing the cases involving rowdy sheeters and formulating effective measures to address the problem. Each police station provided details about the rowdy sheeters operating in their respective jurisdictions, and discussions were held regarding the appropriate actions that needed to be taken on a station-by-station basis.
Concerned about the escalating threats to the security and freedom of the city’s residents, the police commissioner swiftly proposed invoking the Preventive Detention (PD) Act and expulsion from the city against the rowdy sheeters causing the most disturbances. These stringent measures are aimed at curbing their criminal activities and safeguarding the well-being of the citizens.
During the meeting, Dr. Trivikramavarma took the opportunity to acknowledge and congratulate the exemplary courage displayed by two officers in a recent kidnapping case. He commended Padmanabham station’s PC 3448 M. Srinu and HG V. Saibaba for their bravery and commitment to duty. Their exceptional efforts played a vital role in the successful resolution of the kidnapping incident, earning them well-deserved recognition from the Police Commissioner.
The City Police Commissioner’s proactive approach and strong determination to maintain law and order in the city have garnered widespread support from both the police department and the public.
