Anakapalli – An auspicious ceremony marked the commencement of the reconstruction program for the revered Nookambika Ammavari Temple on Thursday. With the resonating chants of Vedic scholars filling the air, the event witnessed the presence of esteemed religious leaders, prominent political figures, and devoted temple representatives.
Led by Sharada Peetadhipathi Swami Swaroopa Nandendra, Swami Swatakasamrendera, the reconstruction project has entered its first phase, with an estimated budget of three and a half crores dedicated to restoring the temple’s magnificence.
The program commenced at 7:40 am and was graced by distinguished guests, including local legislator IT Minister Gudivada Amarnath, Deputy Chief Minister Boodi Mutyala Naidu, Member of Parliament Dr. Satyavathi, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Chairman YV Subbareddy, Former Minister Dadi Veerabhadra Rao, Endowment Minister Golla Baburao, Karanam Dharmashree, Adivi Raju Kannababu, Dadi Ratnakar, and corporators Neelima Bhaskar Lakshmi Saujanya.
With meticulous preparations made within the temple premises, a significant gathering of devotees was expected to partake in the sacred occasion. Swami Swaroopa Nandendra Swami emphasized the importance of constructing a durable temple that will stand strong for future generations. As a gesture of community involvement, a temple model was unveiled, urging devotees to contribute their share towards this noble endeavor.
