Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha member MVV Satyanarayana’s wife, Jyoti, son Sarat, and the family’s close friend and auditor G Venkateswara Rao (GV) were kidnapped for ransom in a shocking incident that occurred on Thursday morning. The incident took place at around 7 am in their residence located in Rushikonda layout. Notably, MP Satyanarayana was in Hyderabad at the time of the kidnapping.

According to the police, the kidnappers made Jyoti call GV, who resided in the Seethammadhara area. Once GV arrived at Rushikonda, the kidnappers took them to an undisclosed location. GV serves as an auditor for several companies owned by the MP.

Swiftly responding to the situation, the police launched an operation and managed to rescue the kidnapped individuals on the highway as they were being transported towards Eluru. However, the authorities have not provided specific details regarding the incident.

Sources suggest that a notorious criminal named Hemant, who has a history of involvement in kidnapping cases and the murder of former corporator Vijaya Reddy, orchestrated the abduction. It is believed that Hemant demanded a ransom of Rs 50 crore for the release of the kidnapped victims.

Upon learning about the incident, MP Satyanarayana hurriedly returned to Visakhapatnam to attend to the situation. Meanwhile, the police suspect that the kidnapping may be related to real estate business transactions, indicating a potential motive behind the crime.

Investigations into the incident have been underway, and the police have detained the accused kidnappers. Further details about the identity and motives of the kidnappers are expected to be revealed in the evening. Currently, the MP’s family members and the auditor are reported to be safe under police protection.
