The annual ‘Giri Pradakshina’ festival of Simhachalam temple is set to take place on July 2 this year, followed by ‘Ashada Pournami’ on July 3. A meeting was recently held by Temple Executive Officer V. Trinad Rao and other officials to discuss the preparations for the festival. The discussions included arrangements for the procession route, decoration of ‘Pushparadham,’ potential traffic management, stalls along the 32-km route, coordination with GVMC for essential facilities like drinking water and sanitation, as well as ensuring necessary security measures. This significant event attracts thousands of devotees who participate in the 32-km trek along the Simhachalam Hill, visiting various locations in Visakhapatnam.
