The three-day drama festival came to a grand conclusion on Sunday night, leaving the audience captivated and enthralled. The festival, organized jointly by the YK Nageswara Rao Natak Kalaparishad and the Adilila Foundation, showcased the talents of artists from various regions in both Telugu states.

The final day of the festival featured two remarkable plays, namely ‘Nanna Nenochchesta’ from Guntur and ‘Alitho Saradaga’ from Chilakaluripet. ‘Nanna Nenochchesta’ explored the consequences of granting excessive freedom to children, depicting how it can lead to their ruin. The play revolved around a married woman who frequently seeks refuge in her parental home, neglecting her responsibilities in her in-laws’ household. Directed by Amritalahari and written by Talabattula Venkateswara Rao, the play shed light on the importance of communication and responsibility within a family.

On the other hand, ‘Alitho Saradaga,’ directed by Sheikh Shafi and written by Bharat Kumar, offered a delightful blend of humor and thought-provoking themes. The play, accompanied by laughter-inducing moments, showcased Ali’s journey, leaving the audience with a sense of introspection.

Several esteemed individuals contributed to the success of the festival, including George Club President and Secretaries Buddha Kashivisweswara Rao, Malla Chandrasekhar, Treasurer Alla Srinu, Natakotsavala Convenor K.M. Naidu, and representatives from the Kalaparishad, Boppana Narasingrao, and Nadimpalli Venkateswara Rao.

In a separate theatrical event, the Surabhi Natak Company from Hyderabad mesmerized the audience with their performances during the Madugula and Newstude Mochakondamma fairs held at the Maharaja Fort. Over the course of three days, the theater group showcased their talent, leaving the spectators spellbound.

One of the standout performances was the Bala Nagamma drama, presented on Sunday night. The portrayal of Mayala Fakir’s character by Karyavarniraju Balavardhiraju Balanagamma, combined with impeccable acting skills, created an unforgettable experience for the audience. The incorporation of ghostly sounds and moments of laughter within the majestic surroundings of Mayala Fakir’s palace further enhanced the overall impact of the play.

The play received accolades from notable individuals, including MPP Ramadharmaja and Sarpanchi Kalavathi. Committee members, such as Dangeti Surya Rao, Srinathu Srinivasa Rao, and Subrahmanya Shastri, also expressed their admiration for the captivating performance.

Overall, the drama festival and the theatrical performances showcased the immense talent and creativity within the Telugu states. The efforts of the organizers, artists, and individuals involved in bringing these events to life were commendable, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.
