The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) in Visakhapatnam is set to introduce battery-operated e-autorickshaws for efficient household garbage collection. This initiative is part of the Clean Andhra Pradesh (CLAP) campaign by the Andhra Pradesh government, aimed at promoting sustainable waste management practices.
Visakha Crime Police, led by DCP (Crime) G. Naganna, have successfully busted a chain theft ring in Vizag, apprehending ten suspects, including a father-son duo involved in multiple thefts. A total of 31 tolas of gold ornaments were recovered in connection with eleven chain theft cases across the city.
