Andhra University officials have launched a student-led initiative for village development. Over 15,000 students from 132 colleges in Andhra Pradesh are working on identifying and addressing issues in 660 adopted remote villages. Supported by local officials and village volunteers, they aim to provide sustainable solutions for infrastructure, public health, and education. The program promotes college engagement, rural empowerment, and student growth.
Visakha Crime Police, led by DCP (Crime) G. Naganna, have successfully busted a chain theft ring in Vizag, apprehending ten suspects, including a father-son duo involved in multiple thefts. A total of 31 tolas of gold ornaments were recovered in connection with eleven chain theft cases across the city.
