Mahalakshmi from Kurmannapaleni in the GVMC area of Visakhapatnam district and Srinivaskumar from Gajuwaka, the couple inflicted self-harm with a knife before being discovered by lodge staff. Prompt action by the staff led to immediate notification of the police.
