Vizag: Tragically, a 27-year-old man named G Bharath Kumar lost his life after being forcibly ejected from a moving bus near Srikakulam, following a dispute over fare payment. The incident occurred on May 3, 2023, as Bharath was travelling from Srikakulam to Visakhapatnam on a private bus from Bhubaneswar.

According to police reports, the assistant driver, B Appanna, asked Bharath to pay the 200-rupee fare. Bharath explained that his friends would pay the fare online after reaching their destination. However, when his friends did not make the payment, Appanna and the driver, K Ramakrishna, began to argue with Bharath over the fare.

In a horrific turn of events, the two drivers pushed the 27-year-old out of the moving bus near Srikakulam. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Bharath succumbed to his injuries and passed away.

The authorities launched a thorough investigation into the incident and obtained CCTV footage of the incident. After three days of investigation, the police found the driver and assistant driver responsible for the murder and they turned themselves in. Both have been arrested and charged accordingly.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, serving as a stark reminder of the dangers posed by irresponsible behaviour on the part of transportation staff. It also highlights the importance of ensuring that passengers are treated with respect and dignity, and that their safety is of paramount importance.
