Visakhapatnam: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has announced the extension of the Visakhapatnam-Kacheguda express trains to Mahbubnagar station, providing enhanced connectivity for passengers. Starting from May 20, the 12861 Visakhapatnam-Kacheguda Express will now continue its journey up to Mahbubnagar.
The extended train will depart from Visakhapatnam at 6.40 p.m., reaching Kacheguda at 6:45 a.m. the next day. From there, it will depart at 6.55 a.m. and arrive at Mahbubnagar at 9.20 a.m. The return journey, the 12862 Mahbubnagar-Kacheguda Visakhapatnam Express, will commence from Mahbubnagar on the same day, departing at 4.10 p.m. It will reach Kacheguda at 6.10 p.m., depart at 6.20 p.m., and finally arrive in Visakhapatnam at 6.50 a.m. the following day.
A.K. Tripathi, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Waltair Division, shared the details of the train’s new schedule. The extended trains will make stops at various stations along the route, including Duvvada, Anakapalli, Tuni, Annavaram, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Nidadavole, Tadepalligudem, Eluru, Rayanapadu, Khammam, Dornakal, Mahbubabad, Warangal, Kazipet, Umdanagar, Shadnagar, and Jadcherla.
The extension of the Visakhapatnam-Kacheguda express trains to Mahbubnagar will provide added convenience and improved connectivity for passengers traveling between these destinations.
